McKesson Unna Boot Dressings are made of non-raveling gauze that is evenly impregnated with a non-hardening zinc oxide paste. They stay moist to encourage healing. Unna boot wraps can be used for drying the oozing and weeping of poison ivy, poison oak, or poison sumac. Unna boot bandages are also indicated for managing extremity wounds that require protection and support such as venous leg ulcers. The McKesson Unna Boot dressing does not contain preservatives and is latex free. Available in plain or with Calamine, which is a skin protectant that adds to the patient's comfort. Should not be used by people with a known sensitivity to zinc and/or calamine.
