Algisite is a Calcium alginate dressing that absorbs excess wound exudate. Often used for packing full and partial thickness wounds with moderate to heavy exudate. When it contacts the exudate if forms a soft, integral gel. Available in rope or flat sheets. Made by Smith & Nephew Algisite in widely used for pressure sores, leg ulcers, diabetic ulers and post-op wounds.
