Medline Maxorb Extra is a calcium alginate dressing that is ideal for shallow and deep, moderate to heavy draining wounds. Maxorb Extra CMC Alginate Dressing is to be used as a primary dressing. It is highly absorbent and does not allow fluid to wick laterally. Maxorb Extra can be left in place for up to 7 days depending on the amount of drainage. Available in 5 sizes: 1" x 12" Rope (# MSC7012EP), 2" x 2" (# MSC7022EP), 4" x 4" (# MSC7044EP), 4" x 8" (# MSC7048EP) and 1" x 12" Post-Op Flat Rope (# MSC7112EP).
